Children's nurses work with children and young adults suffering with various conditions. They play a key role in assessing care needs, taking into account medical, social, cultural and family circumstances. Although the work can be incredibly challenging, and occasionally distressing, it can also be exceptionally rewarding. The course enhances employability by emphasising a vocational approach to teaching which leads to a professional qualification, and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
