On our Criminology and Social Policy BSc (Hons) course you will learn about current issues faced by policy makers and practitioners in relation to a range of contemporary social policy and crime control issues; including, crime prevention and policing, courts and sentencing, punishment and rehabilitation, as well as the changing role of social welfare policy in tackling the problem of crime and reducing reoffending behaviour.
Our Criminology and Social Policy BSc (Hons) course offers clear and defined links between the disciplines of social policy and criminology. The is delivered by a dedicated teaching team who place policy focused research and enterprise at the heart of their activities. Staff are student-focused and working at the forefront of criminology and social policy research. The aim of our Criminology and Social Policy BSc (Hons) course is to introduce students to key debates in both disciplines showing how they interact and overlap.
