There are two paths in this course: path A focuses on applied statistics and path B focuses on stochastic analysis.
Modules:
Year 1: Areas studied include mathematical methods, analysis, linear algebra, geometry, probability and statistics, computational and numerical methods, and mechanics. Year 2: Areas studied include analysis, mathematical methods, complex variables, probability theory, applied statistics, and statistical modelling. Final year: Areas studied include medical statistics or stochastic analysis, further topics chosen from all areas of pure and applied mathematics and statistics, and a statistics project. A full list of indicative modules is available on the course page of our website.
