Are you interested in the fusion of literature, performance and culture?
Our joint English and Drama BA allows you to study the interconnected disciplines of English and drama and gain an understanding of how they complement one another.
This programme takes a variety of approaches to drama and literary studies, taught through theoretical and practical modules. You'll examine the practice of performance, read texts from a broad spectrum of genres and periods, and learn to think about texts and performances in their political, cultural and historical contexts.
In your first year you'll approach reading in ways you may not have experienced before, and you'll be introduced to performance modes through practice and theory. Your second and third years will give you access to a diverse range of modules, allowing you to personalise your English and Drama degree and study the topics that most interest you.

This is a great uni. It is close to public transport, whilst also having an array of cheap take out, restaurants and fast food options for students. The freshers events are great to make friends and get involved. Don't miss any! The departments are very friendly by letting people change courses, providing links to careers website and going the extra effort to provide the best experience. It's very diverse in culture and backgrounds and reflects the London environment.

Overall a great university - and the only campus uni in London so you can experience campus life but still experience London. I've heard support is lacking a little for some courses e.g. Comparative Lit, but English is generally great with enthusiastic and helpful teachers.
