This course offers you an exciting opportunity to become a fully qualified mental health nurse. It is challenging yet fun, and encourages you to develop your nursing skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Your learning will be facilitated through modules that focus on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) competencies and essential skills. Practice learning is an essential component of pre-registration nursing curriculum and takes up 50% of your learning. Nurses are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and you study partly alongside students from other health disciplines, such as social workers, radiographers and physiotherapists. This allows you to develop team-working skills and understand the contribution of different professionals to patient care. You learn through workshops seminars practice-based learning simulation role play and key skills practice

    I think Hallam can be a great university, especially if you choose to live in and want a good night life. The only real downside to it is the poor management of timetables, but that may be relevant to my course only.
