This programme aims to help students to take advantage of these graduate jobs by providing them with a solid understanding of the industry, the opportunity to pursue work experience and the chance to engage with specific areas of finance that interest them. Students on the BA (Hons) Accountancy and Finance course study intensively, looking at both national and international markets to ensure a firm understanding of the global economy.
The curriculum itself is partly based around first hand advice and real life examples of working in the industry. Not only does this better prepare students for their working life, it also ensures that staff and students are keeping up to date with the latest developments in this fast moving industry.
Our accrediting institutions can provide students with support and guidance both during and after their degree. This support has helped past students to secure year-long work placements, which every students is given the opportunity to undertake between the second and third years of their degree.
Solent is a place of study for students from all over the world. Learning with colleagues from a wide range of different backgrounds helps to emulate real working practises and brings new points of view to discussions and debates.
