It's really great being a student here - the uni and students do their best to make you feel very welcome and there's plenty of resources and help available. The 24/7 library is also a massive plus if you burn the midnight oil like me. The teachers give really good lectures, explaining things in depth and always available to help out, The Union is great, with amazing support services.

So far I have had a much better experience here than I did at my previous university! I have a better social life and feel more a part of a community through my involvement with the Cheer team, Rep scheme and Ambassadorship. The careers team is wonderful- helping me to set up a plan for how to improve my CV and gain relevant work experience, even getting me in touch with an organisation I now volunteer for. The mental health services team is very helpful in informing me of how best to get the right support from the uni itself and my doctor. They keep in touch regularly to make sure that I am feeling and coping okay too. I love my course and the staff could not be more supportive. If there was anything that they could improve on it is the Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) scheme as not a lot of students know who their PAT is nor what they should be used for, However this has already been discussed in a meeting with the union and the reps so changes are about to be put in place hopefully
