Since the time of the ancient Greeks, Mathematicians and Philosophers have sought to find the truth behind the underlying workings and meanings of the universe. Both disciplines have their own identities, but there is a close relationship between the two. This programme explores both areas and the interesting areas of study that they share. You will have access to world-class talent in diverse fields and enjoy a rich and engaging academic experience.
First-year modules cover a broad base of the subject and are designed to introduce you to ways of studying at university. By the final year the modules you take will become more specialised and reflect the research expertise of the academic staff. More detailed module information can be found on the âCourse detailâ tab on the University of Birminghamâs coursefinder web pages.

My university experience has been very good, and many of my ratings would have been 5 stars if it weren't for many of the technical issues, but other than that it is a great university that I would recommend to everyone. The academic life is fully supported by lecturers, tutors, and most importantly your peers.
