Accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry this course takes students from fundamental chemistry concepts to specialist masters-level work at the forefront of the field. With an emphasis on practical learning there is a high proportion of lab work on this course and a multidisciplinary approach to study. Lecturers deliver on their specialist research field, and students undertake and contribute to this research. Learning is supported by access to specialist laboratories, and an optional placement year gives students a great opportunity to develop their skills as a chemist and gain valuable work experience.

I would recommend Brighton to anyone, it’s an amazing city for students! It’s nice and compact, with everything in walking distance and loads of pubs, clubs, shops to try out. It’s a little bit expensive, but with budgeting you’ll be able to sample the best the town has to offer. The accommodation is only twenty minutes out from town on regular 24 hour buses, so the nights out never end. My course has loads of contact hours, with passionate and fiercely intellectual lecturers who give fast, 24/7 feedback.
