Cambridge is everything the Oxbridge stereotype tells you - it's challenging, it's grand, it's academically focused, it's stunningly beautiful and it's intense. But it's also everything the stereotype doesn't tell you - it's still a normal student experience. The town has everything you could possibly want or need within a few minutes walk of most colleges (yes, even nightlife, provided you don't mind cheesy music); it has student clubs for every sport, art form and interest under the sun (including an Ice Cream Appreciation society); and it's filled with the most diverse, friendly and accepting group of people you'll ever meet.
It has a great environment and lifestyle with very good facilities at affordable living cost. Due to ancient traditions, uni life is unique compared to other universities (excluding Oxford). There are many opportunities to network and socialise as accommodation is provided for all 3 years. However, the workload is very heavy, often packed with more materials than other universities in less term time. There's a lot of pressure to study well and quickly.
