Do you want to develop business communication expertise in a truly international environment? If English is not your native language and you already have background knowledge of your chosen language, this degree will help you reach a high degree of competence in English language and communication, understanding the role of the international manager and the skills required to manage successfully in international and intercultural contexts. You'll have the opportunity to study specialist content modules in a wide range of business topics as well as to develop the necessary project management and research skills, giving you an advantage, whether going onto postgraduate study, or getting that first job.
Year 3 attracts students who enter directly having completed a Diploma in their home country, giving them a fast-track route to a British degree. This final year provides the opportunity to study specialist content modules in a wide range of business topics including marketing, human resources, international management, tourism, finance and intercultural communication.
Year 3: Code modules: International Business Communication (triple module), Modern Foreign Language – Arabic/Chinese/French/German/Japanese/Korean*/Russian*/Spanish (single module), Translation/Interpreting in MFL (single module)
Year 3: Optional modules: Students choose one more module from the many specialist options (some of which are semester-based or year-long) including: Human Resource Management, Marketing, Tourism, Finance, Corporate Communication, Asia-Pacific Studies, Events Management, Research Methods

Preston’s such a lovely student city – there’s something on each night and the prices are amazing, it’s really geared toward students. Warehouse and The Ship Inn saw the most of my nights out in town. It’s not really a bustling metropolis, but less distractions = more work done! And if you’re wanting a huge night, Liverpool’s about half an hour on the train and is amazing. My course is great, with fascinating, empathetic teachers who really support and encourage us, and the facilities are top notch. The Student Union is also incredibly supportive, and they always have time for us.

Honestly I could not recommend UCLan anymore than I am. I wholeheartedly believe that the lecturers are there to help you learn and grow as a person rather to just keep up rankings. You are made to feel like an individual and not just another student.
I think uclan is a really good choice of uni for a take of students. They allow room for independent learning and have an incredible wealth of recourses while also offering the help anyone may need and hubs for information whenever you might need it.
