Course Summary:
English Literature: Over three years you will study a variety of texts from the earliest times to the present day. Through the study of stimulating texts you will develop a range of core skills which will be relevant after graduation to many different roles and employment opportunities.
Sport and Exercise Sciences: The Department prides itself on its approachable staff and varied teaching strategies, which external examiners and current students consistently praise highly. In using a student-centred approach, the Department produces graduates with subject expertise and career potential. The practical and applied nature of the course is a major feature.
Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus.

English Literature: Assessment methods vary, and may include: coursework essays, seminar papers, oral presentations, resource-based learning exercises, portfolios, learning diaries, and a small number of formal examinations.
Sport and Exercise Sciences: We use a wide portfolio of assessment methods, including examinations, essays, tests, presentations and laboratory practicals. These are designed to assess both academic knowledge and prepare students for specific, relevant vocations.
