The **Scots law** degree is the required degree for those planning to enter the Scottish legal profession. It is also an excellent foundation for students who wish to work in legal practice in other countries and in many other careers. The Scots law curriculum offers intellectual depth and has a range of flexible options.
Glasgow School of Law has a hugely successful study abroad programme with more than 60% of students undertaking international mobility.
**Philosophy** is the systematic attempt to arrive at clear answers to profound questions about issues such as knowledge, life, morality, science and human nature using reason and argument. We host reading parties for students in the Highlands, and have a flourishing undergraduate Philosophy Society. We are home to the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience.
Application deadline details:
Glasgow was an incredible place to live and study! I was seriously not expecting the amount of stuff to do in the West End, with the Bard in The Botanics festival being a particular highlight. There’s something to do for every taste there, and everyone makes it down to the West End Festival during the summer, which does a load of great food and music and is a great way to unwind after deadlines. The tutors are fantastic, too – always receptive to questions, providing detailed and interesting lectures and they provided such great support to me throughout my studies.
