This course provides the specialist qualities and skills you need to work in children's nursing. You will gain an understanding of the personal, socio-economic and cultural influences that impact on children and young people's physical health and mental wellbeing. You will also explore ways of working collaboratively across traditional boundaries, both with other disciplines and in a variety of settings. We have excellent links with the NHS and other care providers and arrange placements in both hospitals and community settings. These are a vital part of your studies, representing 50% of the course each year. Our expert tutors will support you throughout your studies, and our campus clinical skills labs will provide a safe environment to develop your skills.
As a successful graduate, you will be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and begin your career in children's nursing. You may become a manager, educator or clinical specialist.
Students will be assessed through:
Clinical skills assessment (OSCE).

Greenwich is seriously the nicest part of London! It’s a lovely little suburb, with great little shops, pubs with atmosphere and character, and the park, which is beautiful no matter what time of year. The one thing it isn’t is cheap, but the eagle eyed among you will be able to find the right deals and cheaper nights out in the city – New Cross is a short bus ride away and has plenty of nice, cheap(er) pubs. The course itself was great, with the lovely accommodation being the crowning touch of my experience.

My experience so far in the uni is so far but for others it could be different and my the weeks I’ve got classes is just Tuesdays and Thursdays and their both long hours but still it’s good like I don’t feel like I’m falling behind on stuff
