BA (Hons), Full-time With Time Abroad
, Duration: 4 Years
Given the nature of the global economy in recent years, this is one of the most fascinating times to study this increasingly important subject. This course looks at the relationships of production and consumption, with particular emphasis in the role economics plays in analysing current problems and informing policy. At the end of your studies you will be able to apply economics to a variety of situations, enabling you to choose between many different career paths. Many of our graduates have gone on to careers as professional economists and within the general business management and finance fields as well as the public sector. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their experiences through undertaking a 12 month work placement where they will learn the fundamental basics of putting theory into practice or by undertaking a study abroad year where students will show their future employers they are happy to step out of their comfort zone and view things from a different perspective. Students can also choose to combine Business studies with one of six languages – from Spanish to Japanese – to increase employability status.

I had great tutors and support during my course, and I'm very happy with that aspect - it's an amazing place to study law. The library and PC facilities are top notch! Hatfield is a small town, but you can still find something to do. If you are more a pub person, you can hang out with your mates on campus or in Hatfield, or if clubbing’s more your scene you can hop on the bus to St Albans, which is full of places to go.
