**In any business, the most important resource is people. That means the human resource management expertise you'll gain here will be valued around the world.**
Develop the skills and knowledge to deal with the complexity and diversity of the business world. By focusing on human resource management, you'll gain specialist knowledge which will put you in a strong position for graduate roles.
- 94% of our graduates are in work or further study within six months (UK domicile full-time first degree leavers; Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey for the academic year 2016/17, published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency 2018)
- We encourage group and project work. That often involves collaboration with local industry, using real-life case studies.
- Enhance your learning with industry-standard facilities, such as the Bloomberg computer suite.
- This programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) which means graduates are eligible to apply to the CIPD to become Chartered Members.
You'll examine how organisations work and learn how to identify the right opportunities at the right time. And you'll discover how to be a responsible manager by considering legal and ethical issues, too. You'll study under experts who bring the theory to life with case studies, live projects and guest speakers.

Forget about the stereotype, Hull is a hidden gem which gets great student satisfaction. The city is really quirky so look out for white telephone boxes, chip spice and traditional pubs with unusual names. The university campus is very green with a warm atmosphere. The area around the uni is lovely, with lots of independent restaurants, shops and small bars which have a great selection of cheap craft beers. Living costs are really low, with student housing available close to campus. There’s a choice of different clubs for all music tastes.
