**Learn to apply theoretical knowledge to high-level coaching. You'll work with professional teams and athletes in facilities like our Health and Human Performance Lab.** This course is for anyone wanting to begin a career in coaching people across all ages and abilities as well as those interested in teaching physical education. - Learn from practical experience as a sports coach on professional placements and work towards National Governing Body of Sport coaching awards. - Access the latest technology in our upgraded £16-million sport and exercise facilities. - 95% of students are in work or further study six months after graduating (UK domicile full-time first degree leavers; Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey, for the academic year 2016/17 published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency 2018). - Gain an industry advantage by having free exposure to the latest wearable technology that uses GPS and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) in the sports performance world through our partnership with Catapult Sports.* Our links with local authority sports development units (and other organisations) open up opportunities for work experience, coaching education courses, workshops and events. You’ll learn from tutors who've collaborated with the likes of FIFA, the International Olympic Committee and the World Anti-Doping Agency. You'll work in facilities such as our Sports Rehabilitation Suite, Health and Human Performance Laboratory, Environmental Chamber, Performance Analysis Suite, and Exercise Physiology Laboratories. These are on top of our excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities, which are currently undergoing a £16 million transformation. *subject to contract The foundation year is designed to boost your skills and knowledge if you don't quite meet our academic entry requirements. **Official Team GB partners** Did you know that the University of Hull is the official University Partner of Team GB? Our united belief is that anyone, with the right opportunities ahead and a dedicated team behind, can achieve extraordinary things. This is what our partnership with Team GB is built on. Extraordinary is in you – and we’ll help you find it. What does this mean for you? It means that whether you’re studying sports science, or marketing, or logistics, or healthcare, or engineering, you’ll be able to gain invaluable experience through this unique partnership. We are working with Team GB to create opportunities for volunteering and work experience, to get involved with meet-and-greet sessions with Olympians, host on-campus talks from guest speakers and so much more. Some of our students recently helped Team GB athletes get their kit ready to compete in preparation for the Minsk 2019 European Games. It’s an extraordinary partnership, and you won’t find it anywhere else. Find out more at hull.ac.uk/teamgb

Forget about the stereotype, Hull is a hidden gem which gets great student satisfaction. The city is really quirky so look out for white telephone boxes, chip spice and traditional pubs with unusual names. The university campus is very green with a warm atmosphere. The area around the uni is lovely, with lots of independent restaurants, shops and small bars which have a great selection of cheap craft beers. Living costs are really low, with student housing available close to campus. There’s a choice of different clubs for all music tastes. Getting in to town is easy and quick with frequent buses and cheap taxis.
