**Discover the social, economic and political forces that shape the world through lectures, research and field trips to places such as Morocco, Malawi and Hong Kong.** You want to learn how to tackle the big issues. BA Geography at Hull introduces you to ways of understanding the dynamic and complex social, economic and political processes that make the world work. You'll develop a full toolkit of theoretical and practical skills – enabling you to look at places, individuals and communities with an expert eye. - We prioritise learning outside the classroom with core field trips – think locations such as Barcelona, Berlin and Morocco - The costs of all our core field trips during your first and second years is included in your course fees. During your final year, there are further optional field trips to international destinations, such as Hong Kong and Malawi, or within the UK - The University of Hull is in close proximity to interesting and important urban, rural and maritime environments, allowing you to explore a huge variety of human geography perspectives in the local area - Develop career-ready skills such as GIS, qualitative methods, group work and report writing - This degree is accredited by the Royal Geographical Society - 95% overall student satisfaction in the 2018 National Student Survey (NSS) - Ranked third in the UK for research impact (REF 2014) in this subject area. So you'll be learning from internationally recognised experts who combine their research with teaching on our courses Flexibility is key. You'll have access to a geographical information systems (GIS) suite, the recently refurbished Brynmor Jones Library, and the University's art and archival collections. Forget about the stereotype, Hull is a hidden gem which gets great student satisfaction. The city is really quirky so look out for white telephone boxes, chip spice and traditional pubs with unusual names. The university campus is very green with a warm atmosphere. The area around the uni is lovely, with lots of independent restaurants, shops and small bars which have a great selection of cheap craft beers. Living costs are really low, with student housing available close to campus. There’s a choice of different clubs for all music tastes. Getting in to town is easy and quick with frequent buses and cheap taxis.

    Great uni. Enjoy my course and are able to enjoy a social life as well. Societies are plentiful and amenities are all within walking distance
