Globalisation, geopolitics, population change, and sustainability are amongst the largest challenges confronting society in the 21st century. Geography enables you to understand these issues and the ways in which they shape the world. Our degree programmes help you develop expert knowledge and skills to interrogate the range of different approaches to, and perspectives on, these issues, as well as the ability to understand how they interact.
This programme is accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) for the purpose of recognising the delivery of geographical knowledge, understanding, skills, approaches and attributes expected of high quality geography graduates.

I was so surprised by my time in Liverpool! I wasn’t expecting such a culturally vibrant and exciting city! I’m a theatre nut, so having the Everyman on my doorstep was an incredible opportunity to learn and expand my horizons. The scousers are also incredibly warm and friendly, and between the vast numbers of students and locals you’ll make loads of new friends. The course was hugely enjoyable, with varied and dynamic lecturers who are constantly pushing you academically, and the SU helps students out in a myriad of ways.
