This year 0 programme gives progression to the single honours Veterinary Science programme.
The University of Liverpool, in collaboration with local FE partners, has developed a Year Zero foundation programme for Home/EU students that leads to access onto a variety of vocational Health Studies programmes:
Students seeking entry to Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science will study at Carmel College, St Helens. Students seeking entry to Diagnostic Radiography, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Orthoptics, Physiotherapy or Radiotherapy will study at The Sixth Form College, Birkenhead.
Please note that application to this programme is through UCAS (see course codes below), which is specifically targeted at Home/EU mature and non-traditional students who typically have taken a break from studies.

I was so surprised by my time in Liverpool! I wasn’t expecting such a culturally vibrant and exciting city! I’m a theatre nut, so having the Everyman on my doorstep was an incredible opportunity to learn and expand my horizons. The scousers are also incredibly warm and friendly, and between the vast numbers of students and locals you’ll make loads of new friends. The course was hugely enjoyable, with varied and dynamic lecturers who are constantly pushing you academically, and the SU helps students out in a myriad of ways.
Set for Year 1 for England at £9,250
Set for Year 1 for Northern Ireland at £9,250
Set for Year 1 for Scotland at £9,250
Set for Year 1 for Wales at £9,250
Great location, teaching, facilities. The city is perfect for students! The only bugbear I have is the price of the accommodation but private housing is relatively cheap so you do make a saving in 2nd, 3rd year etc.
