Course details
Course UCAS code: C630
Qualification type:
  • BSc (Hons), Full-time , Duration: 3 Years
Course Summary:
If you love anatomy and physiology, have an interest in prevention and treatment of sports injuries, and want to work in a "hands on" profession then this course is for you. It will prepare you to be an autonomous sport rehabilitator and is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT). Modules are delivered by experienced sports and academic staff, with outstanding facilities including our new £40 million David Ross Sports Village with sport performance clinic and aquatic therapy pool. You will learn to design and implement exercise and rehabilitation programmes, working with healthcare and sports professionals to practise and refine your understanding. Our local and national links mean we offer placements in both professional sport and clinics.
Modules:
In year one you will study concepts and practical skills required for professional practice. Year two is divided between academic study with core sport-specific modules and clinical placements. Placements continue in year three and a choice of modules, a research project and a community-based project allow you to tailor the course to your interests. You will also undertake a sport first aid qualification and an elective placement, which you may complete anywhere in the world, providing you are supervised by a sport professional.

Highly recommended as Nottingham is such a great city, surrounded by lovely greenery. The university is also extremely huge!

I think the Uni is one of the best in the UK. Taking into account what the city has to offer and the provisions made by the university, staff enthusiasm and a focus on students needs, I am very happy I chose this uni over others.
