The programme provides a solid foundation for a career in law with a European dimension. Incorporating a compulsory year abroad, this four-year course equips graduates with advanced language skills in Spanish and an invaluable cultural awareness of another country.
In year one you will study the Law of Contract, Public Law and Understanding Law plus core and introductory language modules. Second-year studies incorporate core modules in Criminal Law, Foundations of Tort and Land Law, as well as language modules. You will also take Civil Law: A Comparative Introduction. This ensures that you are able to spend your third year abroad – equipped not only with the language skills required, but also with a legal grounding that will widen your learning opportunities. After spending your third-year studying abroad in Spain, you will return to Nottingham for your final year, where you will take core modules in the Law of Trusts and the Law of the European Union, plus language modules.
