Our School of Physics and Astronomy offers high-calibre teaching with access to state-of-the-art facilities. This course will combine theoretical and research opportunities within physics, while developing your knowledge of a European language. You will spend your third year studying abroad, to help broaden your expertise in a European language by submersing yourself into the culture, taking your classes and examinations in the same language. During your year abroad, we make sure to support our students by maintaining frequent contact.
Your first year will give you a foundation of knowledge in physics while using your available options to raise the level of your chosen European language. Year two will consist of you carrying on the fundamental modules in physics, while further developing your language skills. Your third year will be spent abroad at one of our European partner universities, and we make sure the modules have been tailored to both your interests and what that particular institution has to offer. The fourth and final year is spent in Nottingham and is also tailored to you as an individual, covering modules that you won't have studied during the year abroad. You'll finish the year with a group project.
