This four-year MSci will develop your knowledge and analysis of physics, and particularly theoretical physics, to the highest level. Throughout the course you will be taught by our world-renowned staff, who work at the cutting edge of physics research to bring you an exciting and dynamic range of modules. These staff will inspire you to generate your own ideas and apply them to the complex world of theoretical physics, in an environment that nurtures innovative thinking.
During your first year you will gain a foundation of knowledge in physics, with the Frontiers in Physics module giving an introduction to an array of specialised topics. In your second year, you will begin to specialise further in the theoretical elements of physics, by taking specialised theoretical physics modules. You will continue these in your third year, where you will enjoy a range of optional modules in physics and theoretical physics. In addition, you will undertake an individual research project. In your final year, you will not take any exams, but will undertake assessments in the form of mini-projects, assignments, and presentations.
