USW's MMath award, where you study to Masters level as part of an undergraduate programme, allows top-performing students to distinguish themselves with advanced skills.
Major corporations, government agencies, research establishments and financial companies all recruit well-trained mathematicians. While there can be intense competition for these jobs, the most successful applicants are those who demonstrate a wide and deep knowledge of mathematics, such as that obtained on this enhanced MMath Mathematics degree.
Our MMath Mathematics course combines modules from the BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree with Masters level material and exposes you to a greater volume of mathematics and at a greater depth compared to the three year degree. Studying on the MMath Mathematics course also removes the need to source further funding to study a Masters-level qualification. Our lecturers will provide you with a supportive environment during your studies to allow you to fulfill your potential. You'll become an expert in logical thinking and develop refined problem-solving skills that are highly valued by employers.

I was on the Cardiff campus, and it’s such a lovely city. There’s loads of great clubs, like Clwb Ifor Bach (That’s ‘The Welsh Club) holds loads of different nights, or Full Moon across the road if you fancy seeing some great local bands. There’s also the world’s oldest record shop, Spillers, which is an amazing way to burn through your student loan, as well as some lovely restaurants in the Castle and Morgan Arcades. The course was amazing too, felt very welcome and was able to grow academically thanks to the fantastic teachers.
