Forensic science is an exciting and increasingly popular subject and this course has been developed with employability in mind. Youâll study a broad range of topics from the areas of chemical, biological and forensic analysis. There is an emphasis on developing practical skills to ensure youâre ready for the workplace within a variety of scientific sectors. Youâll gain an insight into the techniques used to analyse crime scenes and forensic evidence, study supporting sciences such as cellular and molecular biology, organic, physical and analytical chemistry, plus psychology and the law in relation to crime. This course will allow you to obtain knowledge and practical skills in two key areas â forensic, and wider analytical science. Scientists are in demand by industry and by other professions due to their analytical and scientific thinking and accompanying transferable skills.

I was on the Cardiff campus, and it’s such a lovely city. There’s loads of great clubs, like Clwb Ifor Bach (That’s ‘The Welsh Club) holds loads of different nights, or Full Moon across the road if you fancy seeing some great local bands. There’s also the world’s oldest record shop, Spillers, which is an amazing way to burn through your student loan, as well as some lovely restaurants in the Castle and Morgan Arcades. The course was amazing too, felt very welcome and was able to grow academically thanks to the fantastic teachers.
