Course Summary:
With the global market increasing, there is a huge demand for those with analytical and technical skills who can also speak a foreign language. The BSc in Mathematics and Spanish at the University of Southampton combines the study of Spanish and Mathematics at an advanced level and you will be able to spend your third year of this four-year course abroad studying Mathematics. On this four-year Mathematics with Spanish course, you will normally spend the third year of this four-year degree programme studying mathematics at one of our partner universities, where your chosen language is normally spoken; see the lists of relevant institutions below. Your stay abroad will usually take place under the Erasmus scheme. Learning a language as well as the analytical and numerical skills acquired in a mathematics degree can significantly increase your career options. Whatever profession you choose, this programme can help you communicate effectively within the global economy. Southampton mathematics graduates are in great demand. Modules:

The University of Southampton is a fantastic university which undertakes world-class research and amazing teaching. I have experienced first-hand the enthusiasm and passion of my lecturers and seminar tutors. The campus is particularly brilliant due to the large number of facilities based directly on campus such as the GP, Costa, Banking etc. In addition, the campus is incredibly green and is filled with nature and animals. The pastoral care is also very good and so it is easy to feel welcome at this institution.
