Course details
Course UCAS code: M1T1
Qualification type:
  • LLB (Hons), Sandwich , Duration: 4 Years
Course Summary:
Our Law programmes blend traditional and modern teaching methods to introduce you to a range of legal topics in a stimulating and supportive environment. You will gain a critical understanding of the law, as well as developing a range of essential skills necessary for careers in the legal professions. Focusing on the law of England and Wales as affected by European and international law, you will be schooled in the core elements of legal understanding. While you will spend time identifying current legal rules and principles, our programmes are a far cry from the memorisation of dry legal detail. Challenging you not only to understand the law, but also to apply it and consider its impact on society, our Law programmes develop your professional skills through a series of activities focusing on advocacy, client interviewing, negotiation and mooting. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis as part of your classes, before discussing your understanding and evaluation of each

University life in Guildford is really great, the town and campus are warm and inviting, with a nice intimate vibe. Everyone here is so friendly and looks out for everyone else, it’s so refreshing. There's plenty to do it in the city, bear in mind some clubs can charge a fair bit on weekends, so stick to the student nights. The teaching is really strong, with approachable staff, good support on your assignments and a great library.
