This is a dynamic and interactive professional course. We will support you to realise your potential to become a compassionate, competent and autonomous nurse who is able to deliver and lead adult care within an everâchanging health and social care environment. You will split your time equally between learning theory on campus and applying your knowledge during placements, practicing alongside other health professionals. You will study a range of academic core (all fields of nursing) and field (adultâfocused) modules based on theory and practice experiences. As you progress through the programme, programme content will become less generic and more specific to adult nursing.
As you acquire the knowledge and skills to respond to the diverse needs of patients, families and carers within a variety of settings, you will develop and display the values required in modern healthcare: working together for patients; respect and dignity; commitment to quality of care; compassion; improving lives; and everyone counts.

Winchester was such a pretty, lovely place to study. It’s a real community oriented university, you’ll get to know everyone here which is great. The nightlife isn’t crazy like, say, Brighton, there are a few nice clubs here, The SU throws the Bop every Wednesday is bloody mental, and if you want to have a really good night out you can get a cheap taxi down to Southampton. My tutors were really supportive, and they drove me to the best of my ability - they offered great feedback and were always available for a chat.
