York is such a beautiful city, with loads of pubs and little cafes to hide from lectures in! Betty's in the centre of town is my guilty pleasure - amazing cakes and tea, may break the loan though! The nightlife is unreal too with loads of great pubs, clubs and some hidden treasures if you know where to look - prawn crackers at the Willow.... The teachers are really committed and supportive, and the SU were dedicated to helping students out, with a great support structure for students.

Overall my university experience at York has been great, both fun and comfortable. There is a real community feel at the university becuase each student in placed into one of the colleges which gives a great support base and makes it feel more like home. This community feel also translates into the academic departments which work really closely with students to give specific support and guidence throughout studying. This support is given by academic supervisors who offer both personal and academic support when needed.

It was just great. Expensive, but it does make you practice managing a budget.
