Course details
Course UCAS code: L0V0
Qualification type:
  • BA (Hons), Full-time , Duration: 3 Years
Course Summary:
York was one of the first universities to offer PPE, starting in 1986, and in terms of student numbers it is the second largest PPE programme in the UK. From the outset our guiding principle within the School has been that the joint study of these subjects means more than just taking them in combination. At the centre of our programmes is a portfolio of interdisciplinary modules, designed and taught collaboratively by the three departments. Our PPE programme is therefore distinctive for offering a genuinely interdisciplinary approach, as well as an excellent education in the three component subjects.

York is such a beautiful city, with loads of pubs and little cafes to hide from lectures in! Betty's in the centre of town is my guilty pleasure - amazing cakes and tea, may break the loan though! The nightlife is unreal too with loads of great pubs, clubs and some hidden treasures if you know where to look - prawn crackers at the Willow.... The teachers are really committed and supportive, and the SU were dedicated to helping students out, with a great support structure for students.

Brilliant university just be careful with choosing economics. You won't get the same support or careful examination structure of a course like English or History at York
