• Assistive training

Although a large amount of students receive some type of financial assistance with their studies, a substantial level of them will rarely receive everything that is awarded. This is due to the data protection act which was quite rightly put in place to protect a person’s identity. Sadly though, this same law also prevents funding bodies from passing on a student’s contact details to a company or service provider. When a student has a learning or physical problem, they will often have various communication and confidence problems too. This means that when they are given their award information and it lists the companies that the student need to contact themselves to arrange delivery, or in our case sessions.

There is an almost predictable course that follows. This means that if a student is awarded a Laptop, printer, Dictaphone and various programs that need to be taught by a MYindServe specialist, the student will often arrange delivery of the equipment, but as the training sessions seem less important or a little confusing in the description, the student may either choose not to contact us, or simply forget due to being busy with their course work. This means that both the student and the trainer lose in many ways. The student loses because they will often struggle trying to either use software they don’t understand, or not even use it at all as it is too complicated and functions incorrectly. This in turn can dramatically affect their course work and results.

The trainer also loses because they are often self-employed and have a family to care for. This is a very difficult, but very common problem, which is actually quite simple to work around. MYindServe have created a data release form that allows the funding body or assessors to give MYindServe just a phone number, email or home/study address too. This form can be either downloaded or we can even post templates out to the funding body/assessors. This them means a trainer can make the initial contact and put the student at ease, which in turn results in a very useful service being used to help those it was created for. Please help us to help you and our trainers, by either contacting us to arrange your sessions, or by downloading the release form and hand it to your assessor or funding body so that they can then pass on your details to us
