- Milk and/or cream
- Grated cheese
- Plain or corn flour to thicken
- Butter if wanted
- Gently warm milk/cream until starting to bubble
- Begin slowly adding grated cheese while stirring
- Add butter if wanted
- Add small amounts of flour to thicken the sauce if wanted
Smallish chunks of cheese, slosh of cream. Put in microwave, stir frequently until all melted.

There is an alternative to this recipe
Fry thin strips of bacon with some onion and garlic while making sauce and add both to pasta and mix (works best with cream).
