Richmond Upon Thames College is a further education college in London. Richmond Upon Thames or RuTC as it is commonly abbreviated to offers a range of courses. Courses offered at RuTC include all from level 1 courses to Functional Skills, the whole BTEC suite of qualifications,GCSE resits,AS and A Levels,IB ,NVQ and other higher level and vocational qualifications.

TOP DEPARTMENTS:

The college is fantastic and you will thrive whatever you choose. RuTC in terms of the academics has a strong Science department. With a very high number of students going into the School of Science,Health Care and Early Years our sciences are taught by the best lecturers. Our IB school is tops and generates some of the top grades.

In terms of vocationals we have one of the best catering departments and even have several canteens around the college and our own training restaurant , Merits. Our health and beauty departments are also good , being a large one also.

LIBRARY:

The library located not too far from the Physics Classrooms N1 ,N2,N3 and dance studios , is a vast space for students to study in groups or individually. Please be advised that if you do not book yourself in for an induction you will be banned from PC access or borrowing books and other material.

There are several computers. The library is spread across two floors with 4 Long term Desktop computer areas and 2 Apple Macs , there is also a curved bench with a series of laptops , 2 short term use PC's and the 2 Print and go computers. There are over 50 desktop computers.

The downstairs area is stocked with Art and design books , Periodicals and the periodical archive where old newspapers and magazines are stocked for reference.

We have a friendly team of Librarians who will be glad to help you if you need any help.

There are also desks and tables to work and study by yourself or in groups. Downstairs however except for the 2 group study rooms upstairs where groups can study. The study rooms must be booked however.

If you want to be closer to your books or get a lil more peace and quiet why not venture upstairs and unleash the bibliophile in you. Pick up a book and read it or go to the Silent study area.
