If you are an undergraduate or graduate studying or living in Wales, or nearby, then Welsh ICE wants to hear from you! We already have a number of students running their own businesses from our centre and would be happy to talk to any others free of charge who might be in need of advice, encouragement or just a second pair of ears.
Welsh ICE is a social enterprise specifically set up to foster entrepreneurship across Wales and operates in partnership with various business mentors, charities, universities, colleges and other organisations to support start-up businesses both financially and through mentorship.
We have one undergraduate in residence who combines her studies with the sale of silk scarves she designs and makes by hand, and another who combines his degree with running a student book exchange service that he is steadily growing into a small business.
In short, Welsh ICE - the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise - is interested in ideas of any kind, but mostly the good kind. We'd love to hear about your thoughts, problems, hopes and dreams on this forum just to see if we can improve our own services and check we're hitting the right spot with you lot.
Do any of you have your own business ideas - if so what are they? What are the most common problems you are facing in getting it off the ground? What are your plans for when you leave uni?
