• Working in North America

Hi,

I am currently gong into my final year of my masters degree in Civil Engineering Design and Management. I have family who live in Canada on the border with the US at New York. My goal is to find a job in Canada or the East Coast of the States. All the jobs that I have been looking at ask that before I apply that I can prove that I can live and work in the states/Canada. Is it possible for me to get a working Visa for the US and/or Canada without having a job to go into? If not, does anyone know how I could get around this?

Cheers
