concentrations

If I have 2 solutions..1 which has a concentration of 40% and the other which has a conc of 15%
How do I calculate how much I need of each in mL to make 350mL of a solution that has a concentration of 25%??

As a first approximation I would use two unknowns (two volumes), and two equations - one telling what is the sum of volumes, the other telling how much substance will be present in the mixture (as the sum of masses of solute present in both solution).

It won't work in general, as volumes are not additive, but that's the best you can do.

Note: you have to assume constant density.
