I can't reply to you on your profile/inbox!
I don't know if i'm just being blind but I really can't see a way too

Anyway, i'm glad you liked it. I havent updated it in a while as I just kept forgetting and there isn't really much use now since the exam is tomorrow.
I'm going to keep more up to date with it in A2 though I think as it was quite helpful

which reactions do we have to know specific conditions for? (like specific temp) and so we cant just say high temp and what are the conditions?

Maybe the hydration of ethene, you've got to know that it takes place at 300 degrees, 60-70 atmospheres.

Methanol production from hydrogen and carbon monoxide;
Pressure: 50-100 atmospheres,
250 degrees.

Reduction of iron oxide (blast furnace-700 degrees)
Reduction of manganese (IV) oxide- 1200 degrees.
Chloride being reduced in a furnace at 1000 degrees in the extraction of Titanium.

Enzyme in yeast works at around 30-40 degrees, optimum temp (any higher-enzyme will be denatured)

 One of the most cringeworthy episodes! (Besides the disco one anyway..!)

Just get up early in the morning and go over it then instead, at least thats the way I prefer

Yeah I'll probably do that, especially since this is an afternoon exam.

Oh come on, the ballsack one was... far worse. Watched it with my dad. :lolwut:

I nearly always stay up before exams, because I'm so scared I'll forget everything while I sleep. :afraid:

You're probably better off getting a good nights sleep unless you've done absolutely no revision prior to the night before the exam, in which case I would advise one major cramming session.

Anybody know if the question asks to outline mechanism, I should draw display formula or structural formula?
Plus, If they just ask draw the structure of something, can I just draw display formula because I found it easier than structural :frown:

Anyone can help me please I'm really confused :frown:(

any1 with a mark scheme for jan 12 unit 2 paper? Would be much appreciated thanks
You know when it says state the conditions for an elimination reaction or nucleophilic substitution reaction is it to state:

Elimination:
Hot and ethanolic conditions or high temperature and ethanol as solvent???

Nucleophilic Substitution:
Warm and aqueous conditions or low temperature and water as solvent???

Hmmm I'd go with the latter, but check a markscheme?
