Moles calculations

Please can someone help with this question and explained how they got the answer.
How many moles of HCL are there in 230cm cubed of 2M hydrochloric acid?

n=c x v
moles = concentration x volume

M is another way of writing mol dm^-3 (aka concentration)
v is in dm^3 (1000cm^3 in 1dm^3)

so;
n=cxv=2 x (230/1000) = 0.46 mol
