When determining the units for K, do I have to put dm3 before mol-1?
Not sure what you’re exactly asking but see if the following helps solve your query…
It can be any unit, and it depends on what the Kc expression is. It can be dm^3mol^-1, moldm^-3, or even no units at all, but not just, say mol^-1 or dm^-3 on its own.
mol^-1dm^3 or dm^3mol^-1 are both understood and both are acceptable to be written in the exam.
