Who knows what score of pat I need to get if I want to be shortlisted (I am applying for material science)

I think it’s best to just forget about the PAT and move on with our lives tbh… hopefully we can all get an interview tho!

Thanks for your advice! I also hope we can all get an interview
Does anyone know a rough estimate for when we will find out about interviews?

By the end of November everyone who is shortlisted should have received the notice

Hey Guys,
I’m sitting the oxford PAT today and wanted to wish everyone good luck!

best of luck guys

Messed up on three of the physics questions. The optics one, the wave one and the pendulum drag force one. Other than that a few mistakes here and there. Hoping for at least 70%. The optics one killed me though. Spent a good 10 minutes thinking of how to do it and it was only the second after leaving the exam room that I figured it out.
what do you guys think is the general sentiment about this year's paper from those around you? a tough or nicer one? I'm the only one in my school who sat it so been in kind of a bubble :s-smilie:

Are we allowed to discuss questions? If so, can anyone help me create a list of all the questions and marks for each one?
E.g. 1) blah blah (2 marks)
Any help would be appreciated thankssssss

I'd be happy to help, let me know how you'd want to do that.
I'd say I remember more than half the questions, just not the specific question number
Q1 was 1.2 I think (don't remember which multi choice option)

Yes that'd be great, it doesn't need to have any details about the questions but just rough idea and marks would be great.

13. Carrots adding up question (4 marks?)
25. graph sketch (9 marks?)
These are the others i remember but not sure which number
-Sequence of fractions MCQ
-black holes MCQ
-Resistor network MCQ
-Pulley MCQ
Sum to 'm' McQ
transformation question MCQ?
Jean lenght
derivatives question
exponential quadratic
sinx cosx trig
pendulum
diver
boat anchor
spring
satellite
mirror refraction

Any help would be great! Thanks

for some reason the answer booklet is available for download from oxford (just google "pat 2023 answer booklet" ), you can see how many marks each question is worth
