I said the methyl ester would break apart so you'd be left with a foul tasting carboxylic acid :rolleyes:

Literally had no idea.

Sorry to go off topic but....
I am jealous of your UCAS! :tongue:
Congratulations though :biggrin:
i put that it was carcinogenic cus it contained benzene, which we had funily been talking about how it was carcinogenic before the exam, and i put polystyrene (woops) and kevlar for the 2nd 1, but i dint know what type of condensation polymerisation it was, most of the paper was ok, but i think the country wud have found it hard so mybe slightly lower grade boundaries.

Are they likely to be higher or lower than June 11? I can't tell whether this paper was easier or harder.
If I get 60/100 I think i'll be lucky

And I'm going for an A/A* FML
june paper was a helluva lot easier.
A* = 92/100
A = 83/100
B = 74/100
c = 65/100

Lol jk :tongue:

Same; from the looks of this thread, I've got about 52. Closer to an A* than 51 is, I suppose. :tongue:

So that means grade boundaries will be lower??
Happy times!!

From what I've seen on this and heard at school..
People predicted A*/A's thought it was okay
Any lower thought it was terrible
Therefore, I reckon lower grade boundries.. 71 for an A? 61 for a B? etc..

Yeah I did minimal revision for June 2011 and got 77/100. This was far more challenging and there's a chance I've gotten lower. Grade boundaries DEFO lower.

Yeah, they're only slightly lower which I'd probably agree with :smile:

It was a difficult paper but they don't tend to massively vary the boundaries :tongue:
Estimate grade boundaries (estimating that AQA aren't going to be pricks and set very high grade boundaries for a hard paper)

C- 45
B- 55
A- 65
A*- 75 - 77
100 UMS- 87-89

That's what I reckon

In previous papers you'd have JUST scraped an A :tongue:

That's a 10 mark swing over previous years, no way that happens.

Boundaries aren't going to vary by an awful lot, maybe 5 at the most.

There was a 10 mark swing for unit 2 in june 2011
