Isn't the flux linkage just the magnetic flux of a solenoid.

So,

Flux linkage = BAN where N is the # of turns.

i think magnetic flux linkage has to do with faraday's (lenz aswell) law

emf = -kd(phi)/dt

i think it is the rate of cutting field lines.
could be wrong though
yeh that is correct, emf=-rate of change of flux linkage, when n=1 emf=-rate of change of flux

Does anyone have a wordy definition or an equation in words?
I know that magnetic flux (phi) = BA, so what's the link between the two?

Magnetic flux linkage is the product of the magnetic flux passing through a coil and the number of turns on the coil.
