the future of education???
I was playing football when a random thought sprang to mind about the limitations of our increasing knowledge. As our knowledge of the world increases, will people have to stay in education for much longer? In the present day people have to spend more than a quarter of their life in education before they could be somewhere near the forefront of their field of study so will this increase in the future? Or do you think people will just have to become increasingly specialised in a very narrow field of study with eventually people being assigned specialities from birth in order to learn the knowledge needed to advance. (I got a bit carried away into sci fi realm towards the end)
