Why is x-ray diffraction not considered a form of microscopy? BIOLOGY HELP :)

In my biology textbook, it asks why X-ray diffraction, used to produce images is not a form of microscopy. However, using electrons to produce images is. Why is this the case?
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.

The wavelength of the x-ray is probably not the right size to get the resolution needed for microscopy
