Magnetic Fields

I'm not quite sure how to answer he following question.

A ring of copper wire of area 100cm^2 and electrical resistance 0.012 ohms is placed with its plane at right angles to a uniform magnetic field. If the field is changing at the rate of 2T/S calculate the e.m.f. induced in the ring

Any help would be appreciated.

Induced emf = rate of change of magnetic flux

Magnetic flux = BA

(You dont need the resistance)

things you know:

A = 100cm^2
R = 0.012
B = 2
t = 1
E = ?

EMF INDUCED = N * phi / t
which can also be written as:

But, because Phi = BA

EMF INDUCED can also be written as:

= NBA/t

I wonder if you need the number of turns (N), so I hope someone will reply :tongue:
