a cable is attached to an object of weight 30N the object is pulled vertically upwards with an an acceleration of 6.0ms^-2 answer = 48N How do you get the tension in the cable as 48N
F=ma

Mass of object is 3kg if we assume g is 10 N/kg

Add the 30N weight to the 18N required to accelerate the 3kg mass upwards at 6m/s^2

W = m * g

Rearranging the equation to solve for mass (m):

m = W / g

Plugging in the given values:

m = 30 N / 9.8 m/s^2 3.06 kg

Now, using the calculated mass (m) and the given acceleration (a) in the equation for force (F):

F = m * a

F = 3.06 kg * 6.0 m/s^2

F 18.36 N
