Official Biomedical Science Applicant Thread 2024 Entry

Course + university: Biomed for Oxford and Edinburgh, Biomed + management for imperial, bioprocessing of new medicine for ucl, and biosciences for Durham
A level / IB / Higher grades: got 4As from as level but dunno about my predicted grades ://
GCSE grades: didn’t do the GCSEs (hopefully that wouldn’t be a problem)

What was your BMAT score? I feel I did poorly and I'm also an international applicant. :frown:

Didn’t really spend a long time prepping so i didn’t do well either, I got 6.8, 4.7, 3.5A

Very well done on S1, probably compensates well enough for your S2. Mine was worse than yours apart from S2 with 5.7
Are you international? It looks like every other subject has/is receiving invites for interview already. Wonder why Biomed is taking so long

yeah i’m international, are you from hong kong? My s2 was terrible i can’t really do maths without a calculator and i didn’t take physics at any level the last thing i learnt was refraction hahahahah. I haven’t seen any biomed invites either

Biomed student here. Thought I'd pitch in with a few words on this thread.

My friend/peer/someone I know received an offer for the same university I've applied to. Does this mean I've been rejected?
No. Universities do not assess applications on a first-come first serve basis. Your decision will come in its own time.

Should I mail [x] university to remind them about my application?
No.

If I mail admissions, will they process my application faster?
Also no.

I've seen people with higher stats than mine; does this mean I'll be rejected?
As long as you meet your entry requirements in full, you cannot be rejected on this basis.
