yes and can we do analysis after. I have a feeling acid anhydrides, diazonium ions and kekule's structure might come up.

I know that carbon-13 will DEFINATELY come up, nmr and chromatography. And a question on one of CDCL3, TMS and D2O and optical isomers.

lol, i like predicting questions and tend to be quite good at that.

I'm pretty sure acid anhydrides will be in the paper too, okay 7.30 is a chemistry date people:p:
I think Stretch and Challenge will be mainly incorperated into synthesis questions and NMR/IR/MS questions.
Could be wrong though.
im gunna cover all module 1 today. all practice and exam questions.

tomorrow will do the same for Modules 2 & 3. thats my plan! and after that if i have some time to spare do other practice exam questions.

what equations from AS do we need to know? Or... which equations do we need to know that aren't in the A2 OCR Chem text book for Chem A?

propene in the presence of h2so4 catalyst and steam
-high temp 300
- high pressure

forms propanol
-pronaol is oxidised in teh presence of k2cr2o7, and forms the aldehyde propanal and a water molecule is released. H2SO4 catalyst

nitrobenzene + reducing agent (HCl/Sn) to phenylamine.
C6h5no2 + 6(H) - C6h5nh2 +2 h20

Phenylamine + nitrous acid, hn02 (NaNo2 + hcl) - benzenediazonium chloride + 2 h2o
under 10 degrees

benzenediazonium chloride + phenol under alkaline conditions (presence of NaOH) - azo dye + NaCl + H20

Something along those lines?
