Will I need to be good at drawing for this course?

Want to do: BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology at Portsmouth
In the description, in year one, it states that students will be doing 'Drawing on paper as well as life drawing' It is not a huge part of the course as a lot of it is programming and other aspects of games development but I am still worried that I will need to be good at drawing for these parts?

Can I still succeed in the course even if I am bad at drawing?

Thanks

Just this night I've been looking through threads like "Computer Science/Art Degree versus Computer Games Technology/Similar Games degree."

The people have come to a conclusion that a degree is what you make of it. Some become successful after doing a Games degree some don't. Most don't.

Did you put a LOT of thought into it? I mean it's quite possible that this is the first and the last time in your life when you're able to study in higher education.

Don't remember who said this and I guess I am kinda breaking the copyright rules XD But he said that several years ago in companies where there would normally be only 5 - 6 people employed multi-skilled employees were like gold. A Games degree would have made you special. Now it wouldn't. Now there's 80+ employees each doing his own thing: engine programming, concept artist, networking, administration...

I'd advise you to become more specialised as well. If you like programming and designing systems you'd enjoy a Computer science degree, or alternatively Maths or Physics. If you like art you'd be better off with a degree in art. It's up to you though.

(I think the drawing level isn't that high, they'd just expect you to be able to sketch stuff)

If you're thinking of the most recent thread on this topic, then that might have been me :borat:

Please listen to Sinfire, read my replies on the other threads in this section and reconsider your options.

I am not doing it personally, but I know a lot of people on games design degree's and similar. They are all amazing artists, both on paper and on screen. What do you want to do with it?
I just looked at that course on their website and it looks more like a Game Design course than a Games Technology course. If you want to do more programming-related stuff then try somewhere like Abertay University. If you're more artistic maybe a Computer Arts-like degree?
If you're not good at drawing then you're probably good at drawing because nowdays bad drawings are considered modern art anyway.
